Truck Driving

Truck driving at Madera Community College is a cost-effective way to get top-notch training from a certified instructor. We have new equipment and state-of-the-art truck simulators to learn on so that students get the best possible training. The 2023 Kenworth T-880 trucks have digital dash and 10-speed Eaton-Fuller transmissions so students get real-world training.

COURSES

TD-101 is a 9-week course designed to prepare students for the DMV Commercial Learner’s Permit exam.

  • Requirements for this class are only a desire to obtain your commercial permit.
  • You are advised to already have you Class C automobile driving license.

TD-102 is a 9-week course designed to prepare students for the DMV Commercial license test.

  • Requirements for this course are:
  • Class C (passenger car) license
  • Commercial Learners Permit (for learning Class A vehicles)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT drug screen
