Student Support Services (Trio) Program

The DSP&S Student Support Services (SSS) Program provides services to students with disabilities who aspire to successfully complete an associate degree at Madera Community College Center and/or transfer to a university. Student Support Services is a federally-funded Department of Education Trio Program.

SSS promotes and increases the retention, graduation, and transfer rates of students with disabilities by delivering comprehensive academic, social and personal services that assist students to be academically successful. Our mission is to provide enrichment services that will alleviate the educational and social barriers which prevent students with disabilities from succeeding at the postsecondary level.

Services are specialized to address disability-related issues and may include, but are not limited to:

  • tutorial support
  • transfer counseling
  • educational workshops
  • supplemental grant aid
  • transfer tours
