Nursing - RN

LVN to RN Bridge Program

The Registered Nursing - LVN to RN Bridge program provides a professional nurse career sequence for those aspiring to attain the knowledge necessary to practice as Registered Nurses. The Nursing Department, through a responsive curriculum and strong community partnerships, seeks to promote graduate nurses to think critically, demonstrate leadership and adhere to ethical practice standards. Additionally, the program envisions providing the community with graduate nurses who will positively impact the healthcare spectrum of our region and who will compete effectively in the healthcare workplace.

This program is designed for completion by Licensed Vocational Nurses and it requires one academic year beyond completion of prerequisite courses, and non-Nursing breadth requirements. LVN to RN students enter the program upon fulfillment of program prerequisites, meeting all application criteria and after completion of RN 160, a summer session transition course.

The application checklist for the 2026–2027 RN Program application will be posted in November. The 2026–2027 application will be available on December 1, 2025. Applications submitted using the 2025–2026 form will not be accepted.
