Associates Degrees for Transfer

The Student Transfer Achievement Reform Act (STAR) establised the Assoicate Degrees for Transfer (ADT) for California Community College students and is designed to provide a clear pathway to a degree at the California State University (CSU). There are two kinds of ADT programs: Associate in Art for Transfer (AA-T) and Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T).

  • Will earn an associate’s degree from Madera Community College;
  • Will not be held to any local graduation requirements;
  • Will qualify for a Certificate of Achievement in Transfer Studies in either CSU or IGETC;
  • Will satisfy lower division general education and major requirements for transfer

  • Business Administration, 2.0, AS-T

If you have a verified AA-T or AS-T degree and meet the CSU's upper-division transfer admission eligibility requirements, but you haven't been admitted to the CSU of your choice because that campus doesn't haven enough space, you will be redirected to an alternate campus.
